The Equanimity Awards Gala is an annual star-studded charitable community event. The purpose of this is event is to encourage growth through collaboration and to uplift and honor those who are making a positive impact in the community. The proceeds from this event would benefit JB Dondolo, Inc. charity.
The Equanimity Awards Gala honors individuals in various categories such as entrepreneur, community achievement, humanitarian, excellence, visionary, breakthrough, leadership and more.
The Equanimity Awards Gala is where people from various backgrounds can connect with like-minded individuals for a common and good cause – to support each other and support our charitable work in the communities.

We are passionate about fighting poverty. Our charity of choice is JB Dondolo, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit which primarily exists to provide charitable services to impoverished communities.

Reyna Cavazos
Media Collaboration Award | 2019 Honoree
Reyna Cavazos is a bilingual video journalist in the Dallas – Fort Worth area for Telemundo 39 and NBC 5. She started her career in December 2011 with the company Univision Dallas.
Cavazos highlighted her talents in different areas, like production, editing, video journalist, news anchor, entertainment and sports.
Also, for the past two years during the morning shows, she presented the weather and traffic segments.
Cavazos was nominated for the prestigious Emmy’s Award in 2017.
She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors degree in Broadcasting in December 2011.
She had her own podcast and live streams on Facebook (#cafeconreyna) where she created content for the audience and promoted businesses.
Also, she currently works as a photographer and videographer for special events in her own company “GP CINEMA FIMLS” with her husband.

Ndeipi Mudiaspora TV Show
Pan-African Thrive Award | 2019 Honorees
Ndeipi MuDiaspora is a talk show that explores various topics and experiences that immigrants in the U.S. and around the world can relate to. The show aims to support and empower those navigating life in the diaspora.
The 4 women (Sinikiwe, Mutsa, Charmaine, and Tinevimbo) host the show that explores and share theirs and others’ experiences of life in Diaspora, which entails the joys, challenges, and adventures of biculturalism and trying to make it/live the “American Dream.”

Angie Ransome-Jones
Outstanding Mentor Award | 2019 Honoree
The late, great Elie Wiesel once said, “Whoever survives a test, whatever it may be, must tell the story. That is his duty.” A servant leader, visionary, Author, Editor and Ghostwriter, Angie Ransome-Jones has made this her mantra in terms of how she lives and how she inspires others. Angie is best known for her bestselling book, “Path to Peace, A Guide to Managing Life After Losing a Loved One,” which she published in 2015. The book chronicles her journey of finding peace after the sudden and devastating loss of her father and also serves as and a tool in educating readers on the importance of preparing their families for “the inevitable.”
Angie’s strong belief that “everyone has a book inside of them,” led her to launch her Ghostwriting & Consulting business (Cover-to-Cover, LLC), which allows her to write and edit for, as well as coach and mentor new, up-and-coming authors. Since that time, she has penned two books and is currently working on four more – five of which will be featured as part of her 2019 Behind the Ghost book tour. When Angie is not making “literary magic,” she is busy working full-time as a Banking Vice President, serving as a board member for the University of North Texas Alumni Association (UNTAA), as a mentor for such student organizations as the UNT Professional Women’s Council (PWC), as a chartering member and mentor for National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW-DFW) and as an avid volunteer for such organizations as VNA Meals on Wheels and our very own JB Dondolo.

Peter Gebhardt and James “AURIN” McKeon founded the House of Neuville Jewels 21 years ago.
James “AURIN” McKeon is the President of the House of Neuville Jewels. Aurin is a direct descendant of the Countess Corinne Neville of France. He has designed jewelry for Cher, Madonna, Enrique Iglesias and Princess/ Baroness Marie Christine of Kent. Aurin is a world-class jewelry designer with clients in Europe, Japan and the USA. Classically trained as a goldsmith at the University of Miami and a member of the GIA; The Gemological Institute of America.
D’Andra Simmons, LeeAnn Locken and Cary Deuber of the Real Housewives of Dallas, have all worn House of Neuville Jewels jewelry at Dallas charitable events.
Peter Gebhardt is an Early Childhood Educational Specialist. He is a skilled jewelry designer who has sold his designs in Japan and the USA. He donates the majority of his designs to charitable organizations nationwide.

Robert Griffin was a Police Detective in Las Vegas for twelve years. Nine years ago, he started his own business and after just a few years of working part-time from home, he became very successful and retired from his Police career thirteen years ahead of schedule. Together with his wife they have built a business that is now operating in five different countries. As a result of this, in April of 2018 they were featured in Success from home magazine. Rob is now expanding his business here in DFW and all over the world to teach others how to do what he did and how they can fire their boss. Rob has found out in life that if you want to have more, you have to become more. Keep God first and you can achieve anything that you want!
Dale Oakes believes that if you have a calling in your life you should listen and follow. With the help of his wonderful wife Lorey, they started their very first youth program in November of 1989 when they heard their calling. With God’s grace and many days of hard work and sacrifice, they’ve been able to build a Youth program that has helped well over 4 million children to have a fun and to have a safe place to go on Friday and Saturday nights.

Stacy Snapp-Killian
Outstanding Leadership Award | 2019 Honoree
Known in the beauty business as “celebrity hairstylist StacyK,” the 27-year veteran has authored two books: “Be Beautiful Being You” and “The Ten Character Commitments.” She is a part of the Women’s Leadership Movement and is the 2017 “Women That Soar” Community Outreach recipient. She is one of 100 World Changers recently selected for her aim to move the world forward with her new branding concept created for sexual abuse survivors. Snapp-Killian founded JustUS® in 2014, an American multimedia company dedicated to promoting incredible successful people who overcame sexual abuse. The company unites “informative, inspirational individuals” with lifestyle and leadership goals. Its philosophy remains: “Our Words Give Life!”

Dr. Michele Wise Wright
Visionary Voice Award | 2019 Honoree
Michele R. Wright, Ph.D. is a multi-dimensional Senior Executive with experience providing dynamic leadership in diverse roles, including healthcare administration and business development to Fortune 100 companies and an international non-profit organization. With advanced degrees in engineering and public policy, she brings a sensibility to executive roles, combining the ability to share and communicate a vision for meaningful change along with a practical approach to implementation and administration.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of the “My Water Buddy Corporation”, a multi-faceted enterprise that uses edutainment and creative, fun, relatable and aspirational characters fashioned as anthropomorphic organs to promote the health benefits of drinking the daily recommended intake of water to children and their families, so they can have a better and more fulfilling quality of life through a healthier body.

Trailblazer Award | 2019 Honoree
Known mononymously as IMAJ, the artist fans everywhere call their “Country Darling” is a multi-talented Country singer-songwriter, visual artist, novelist, actress and humanitarian. Born in Miami Beach, FL to a model mother and actor father, 80’s TV icon Philip Michael Thomas (Tubbs of Miami Vice), IMAJ grew up in a “utopian environment where creativity was encouraged.” IMAJ has been a special guest performer/toured with multi-platinum and major Country artists such as Collin Raye, Kip Moore, Gretchen Wilson, Billy Dean, Neal McCoy and LeAnn Rimes.

Sibongile Mlambo
Actress | 2019 Red Carpet Host
Sibongile Mlambo is a Zimbabwean – South African actress based in Los Angeles. She recently wrapped the second season of Lost In Space (Netflix), reprising the role of Angela, a traumatized and troubled woman that crosses paths with the Robinson family.
She can also be seen in Siren (Freeform), Macgyver (CBS), Teen Wolf (MTV) & Black Sails (Starz).
Her film credits include Message From The King (Netflix) with Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Under the Silver Lake with Andrew Garfield & Riley Keough, The Last Face directed by Sean Penn with Charlize Theron & Javier Bardem and as the fiery dancer, Ishani in Universal’s Honey 3.
Sibongile enjoys authentically portraying different characters, lives, and perspectives; especially those of fierce, strong, multifaceted women. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and staying active through hikes, circus training, and yoga.

Kosi Jah
Singer, Rapper, Songwriter | 2019 Performer
Kosi Jah is a Prosper, TX musician. A singer, rapper, songwriter, director, poet, producer, and children’s book author of 5 successful books. Her love for music and the arts started at the age of 8, when she would have to rehearse Michael Jackson’s, ” Dapper Dan” in the kitchen of her home on weekends and she would often sing Anita Baker’s ” Sweet Love, in home talent shows and family reunions. She has an amazing vocal range from high soprano to low alto and has accolades from talent show winnings throughout her childhood. Kosi has recently been the top artist on the first block chain label, YOUNK and has been featured in international newspapers such as the, “Kyviv Press” and “Breakaway Daily”, because of her unique voice. She has received high praise for bringing back positive music, giving hope to a new generation. Kosi sees the world as a canvas and her desire is to paint the minds of her listeners with love energy and good vibes with her smooth sounds. Alfred kainga
Stand-up Comedian & Actor | 2019 Performer
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, throughout his childhood, Alfred Kainga developed a comedic talent and was known for making family and friends erupt in laughter. He moved to the United States in 2001 and began his comedy career in 2005, in the highly competitive, Dallas, TX comedy scene.
Alfred has achieved much success in the world of comedy throughout a short span of time. He was a Semi-Finalist in the 2014 Shaq All-Star Comedy Competition and a Finalist in the Funniest Comic in Texas Competition in 2014 and 2016. Alfred Kainga made his television debut in 2016 on Comedy Central, performing in Kevin Hart’s “Hart of the City”. And has also appeared on the Chad Prather Comedy Shootout on RideTv in 2018.
Alfred has toured and performed with some of the biggest names in comedy, including, Bruce Bruce, Pierre, and Mark Curry. He is a member of Team Capone, led by the New York King of Comedy, Capone, whom he tours with regularly. Alfred is a staple feature at the Improv Comedy Clubs across the country and has toured in colleges and universities across the US.
Most recently, in 2018, Alfred Kainga has taken his “Funny from A to Z” brand of comedy global, performing in several countries, including, St. Maarten, the Bahamas, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and South Africa to mention a few. He has received rave reviews from fans all across the globe. Alfred’s comedy is universal and entertains fans from various races and backgrounds.


Cynthia Bailey
Supermodel, Actress | 2019 Keynote Speaker
Cynthia considers her greatest accomplishment as a fashion model was being photographed by photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair magazine alongside Iman, Beverly Johnson, Naomi Campbell, and Tyra Banks. Personally, her greatest accomplishment is her daughter Noelle Forde Robinson. Cynthia credits her strong will and strong spiritual background for her success. She believes in hard work, ambition, love, and positive affirmation. Everyone has a destiny. With faith in yourself and faith in God you can accomplish anything. When you send that energy out to the universe it has to come back to you.
Cynthia is currently one of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, Creator of Seagram’s Escapes Peach Bellini, and founder of The Be Better Foundation. When do red carpet interviews start?
Red carpet starts at 6pm and ends at 7pm. If you’re a member of media, we ask that you arrive 20-30 minutes early to allow enough time to setup your cameras. All others, arrive 5-10 minutes early.

What is the dress code for the event?
Formal, outside your comfort zone: business suit, tuxedo; cocktail dress, evening gown.
How do I get a press pass / media credentials to the event?
If you’re a member of accredited media outlet who would like to cover the event, please register for media credentials by sending email with the subject line “Media Access Request” and include in the body of your email: your name, title, media outlet you’re with, and your contact information.
How do I register for this event?
Equanimity Awards Gala is a ticketed event. You will need a ticket to attend. Please purchase your ticket at GetMyTicket.
If I don’t get my ticket, can I get it at the event?
If we’re not sold out, you can get your ticket at the event. However, we ask that you get your ticket before you get to the event as this helps us with planning of meals, seating, etc.
Will I be filmed or photographed at the event?
There is a high chance you will get photographed and/or filmed. Your attendance at the event grants Equanimity and its affiliates permission (with no restrictions) to utilize your image in connection with any recording, streaming, or reproduction of content/material in perpetuity.
